American National Bank thanks their customers and staff for their generosity by donating 74 blankets during our blanket drive for the homeless. Ginger Martin, President and CEO of American National Bank presents one of the blankets to Bradley and to Kenneth Maginnity of Love Bags who will coordinate the distribution of the blankets to the homeless in Broward County. The ANB team brightens the holidays for the children of the homeless. We’re working to make the holidays a little brighter for the children at Coral Springs Medical Center. Traci Allyn Shur of Broward Health Foundation accepts the donation from Theresa Sebastian of American National Bank for Christmas decorations in the Pediatric Unit of the Coral Springs Medical Center.

The “Christmas in July” event helps serve the needs of over 5,000 homeless children in Broward County. Children from newborns to age 18 are in desperate need of tennis shoes and undergarments and babies are in need of diapers and wipes. Stop by the Bank today and make a donation. It will make a difference in the life of a homeless child.

The goal of the Sock Drive was to gather 5,000 pairs of white, tube socks to be distributed to the homeless. During the months of May and June, American National Bank collected more than 6,000 pairs of socks and raised enough money to buy at least 2,000 more pairs of socks.

On May 13, 2009, the American National Bank team was proud to present a check to Marti Forman, CEO and Executive Director of the Cooperative Feeding Program of Broward in the amount of $4,262. Donations made by our customers and bank team were matched dollar for dollar by the bank. With this donation, the program can buy over 11 tons of food that will feed 61 of Broward County’s homeless for one year.

When presented with the check, Ms. Forman, with tears in her eyes, said, “I was going to the bank to move funds from our savings account to our checking to meet our financial obligations. This is such a huge help.”
