Ginger Martin, has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta’s Miami Branch

American National Bank is pleased to announce that its President and CEO, Ginger Martin, has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta’s Miami Branch. Her three-year term began January 1, 2022 and will run through December 31, 2024.

Ms. Martin has served for 25 years with American National Bank, the oldest and largest community bank headquartered in Broward County which achieved record growth last year. Under her leadership, the Bank has received numerous awards for its financial performance and community involvement, including being rated one of the Top 200 Healthiest Banks in the U.S. in 2021 with an A+ Health & Stability Rating by Deposit Accounts.com, a subsidiary of LendingTree, as well as being a 5-star rated bank by Bauer Financial. Additionally, The Commonwealth Institute named the Bank one of the “Top Women-Led Businesses” in the state of Florida for the seventh consecutive year and South Florida Business Journal ranked the Bank #1 among banks in South Florida that participated in PPP lending in 2020. The Bank had previously received the Banky Award from The Institute for Extraordinary Banking for four consecutive years, Business of the Year Award from South Florida Business Journal, and Small Business of the Year from the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce.

Ms. Martin has also been personally honored for her business leadership with awards such as 2021 Top 250 Power Leaders in South Florida by South Florida Business Journal, 2020 Pillar of the Community by Broward College, 2020 Power Leaders in Banking by South Florida Business Journal, 2018 Ultimate CEO by South Florida Business Journal, 2015 Laureate by Junior Achievement Business Hall of Fame, Profiles in Leadership Honoree by Leadership Broward, and Influential Business Women by South Florida Business Journal, and 2021 Apogee Award by South Florida Business and Wealth.

Ms. Martin currently serves on the boards of National Christian Foundation of South Florida, Florida Bankers Association (FBA) School of Banking, FBA BancServ, NSU Ambassador’s Board, Tower Forum, and Broward Workshop.  She had previously served on the boards of the FBA, Leadership Broward Foundation, Extraordinary Women Leading Change, Executives’ Association of Fort Lauderdale, and as a former foster parent she served on the board of 4KIDS of South Florida, Inc. She also is a member of American Bankers Association Community Bank Council, Junior Achievement’s Circle of Wise Women, South Florida Business Journal’s Influential Women’s Group, International Women’s Forum, Strikeforce 421 Women’s Giving Circle, Freedom Challenge’s Ambassador Team, International Women’s Forum of Florida, Women Executive Leadership, The Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce’s Council of Economic Advisors and United Way of Broward County’s Tocqueville Society.

Ms. Martin’s passion for fighting against human trafficking has led her on a mountain climbing journey with The Freedom Challenge since 2014. With six climbs under her belt thus far, including noteworthy climbs of Mt. Kilimanjaro in 2015, Machu Picchu, Peru in 2017, and Mt. Whitney, California in 2018, Ms. Martin has tirelessly raised funds and awareness for the women and children who are victims of human trafficking. As a result, Ms. Martin has been asked to speak to a multitude of different groups throughout South Florida, including a TEDx Talk, to tell her story of climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro and the leadership lessons learned along the way.
