Amy Mahaney Named March of Dimes 2022 Women of Distinction Honoree

American National Bank is pleased to announce that its Executive Vice President and Chief Lending Officer, Amy Mahaney, has been selected by the March of Dimes as one of their 2022 Women of Distinction.

Ms. Mahaney has a long track record of giving personally of her time and resources to causes in our community. This includes volunteering her time to Sheridan House Family Ministries, an organization devoted to housing, education and helping single mothers and at-risk children, where Ms. Mahaney serves as Chairman of the Board, Finance Committee Member, fundraiser, and regular volunteer. She is the first female Chairman of the Board in the non-profit’s 54-year history. Ms. Mahaney also volunteers her time to support Taylor’s Closet and StrikeForce 421’s inaugural “Giving Circle”.  She is a graduate of Lifework Leadership and Class 29 of Leadership Broward.

In its 27th year, this annual event highlights women leaders who have made significant achievements professionally and as community stewards, while raising awareness for the March of Dimes mission to support medical research, education programs, and advocacy for Healthy Moms, Strong Babies; which helps pave the way for a brighter future.

Honorees were selected by a committee of past recipients and distinguished women leaders who reviewed applications from women who work in nonprofits, companies, universities and other organizations throughout the tri-county area. Since its inception in 1996, more than 270 South Florida women have been named Women of Distinction, including American National Bank President and CEO Ginger Martin.

Ms. Mahaney and the other honorees were celebrated during the Women of Distinction Luncheon on November 18 at the Signature Grand in Davie.


HOPE South Florida Celebrates 25 Years

HOPE South Florida celebrated its 25th Anniversary of providing HOPE to the hopeless and homes to the homeless with a luncheon on November 4 at the Pompano Beach Cultural Center. American National Bank was a sponsor for the event and President and CEO Ginger Martin was an Honoree.

Dr. Fred Scarbrough founded the non-profit organization which benefits children, families and veterans experiencing homelessness by providing access to safe, decent affordable housing. If you would also like to support HOPE South Florida, please visit www.hopesouthflorida.org.

American National Bank Holds Food Drive

American National Bank will be helping collect food donations for the The Pantry of Broward, Inc.’s Thanksgiving Food Drive. Donations will be helping low-income seniors 60 years old and older and grandparents of any age raising their grandchildren.

If you would like to contribute, there is a box to collect donations in the Bank’s lobby. We will provide all donations to The Pantry by November 10.
