The Tournament was held Monday, May 16th, at the Seagate Country Club in Delray Beach. The Bank’s team included Perry Alexander, Ginger Martin, Amy Mahaney and Stacen Mahaney. Proceeds from the event benefitted Epilepsy Alliance Florida.

WLRN’s Sunshine Economy has been tracking the South Florida pandemic economic recovery for more than a year through the experiences of three business leaders — a banker, baker and cleaner. As the third year of living and working with COVID-19 is underway, WLRN Vice President of News and Special Correspondent Tom Hudson brought the three of them together to meet and speak with each other about how they were navigating their companies through the crisis.

American National Bank continues support of 4KIDS of South Florida with “Evening of Restoration” Sponsorship

American National Bank was proud to sponsor 4KIDS of South Florida’s “Evening of Restoration”, an annual fundraiser which netted over $190,000 to help kids in crisis. 4KIDS brings hope to babies, kids, teens, and young adults by providing safe and secure environments for healing, equipped parents and caregivers who are trained to love kids from hard places, essential resources to meet their physical needs, nurturing counsel to help them thrive, and a renewed sense of value in their hearts.

Through the faithful work of thousands of advocates, financial partners, foster parents, volunteers, and others, 4KIDS has served over 30,000 children, teens, and young adults. For the thousands of children who are removed from their homes each year 4KIDS has hundreds of foster families across 6 Florida counties to meet the need. They offer specialized homes to keep siblings together, offer teens a place to belong, and give a refuge for girls at risk of human trafficking.

4KIDS is celebrating 25 years on a mission to provide hope for kids in crisis with a bold vision to provide a home for every child.

Raquel brings with her 21 years of banking experience, including over 13 years at First Southern Bank where she was the Deposit Operations Manager before they were acquired in 2014. She then joined Paradise Bank in a dual role handling both operations and BSA responsibilities while becoming a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS). Raquel spent the past three years as SVP – BSA Officer at Anchor Bank and remains CAMS Certified.

Four other community leaders were named as well: Reginald Andre, CEO of ARK Solvers, Inc., a Broward College alumnus; Raymond Monteleone, CPA and President of Paladin Global Partners; Natalie Ransom, DNP, RN, CENP, NEA-BC, Division Chief Nursing Executive at HCA Healthcare; and Jessica Rodriguez, Managing Partner of Cloud 9 Nonprofit Advisors LLC.

Established in 1971, the Broward College Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and the officially designated means of making private, charitable contributions to Broward College. The foundation’s volunteer Board of Directors works closely with the college’s Office of Advancement to raise money to support scholarships, academic programs and learning facility enhancements.

Ginger Martin named 2022 Power Leader by South Florida Business Journal

Ginger Martin, President and CEO of American National Bank, has been named to the 2022 Power Leaders 250 listing published by South Florida Business Journal. This is the second consecutive year in which she has been named as a South Florida Power Leader along with other top noteworthy leaders from the public and private sectors in the tri-county area.

This month, Ms. Martin celebrated 25 years with American National Bank, the oldest and largest independent community bank headquartered in Broward County. Under her leadership last year, the 36-year-old family-owned bank achieved record earnings and received several awards for its financial performance and community involvement, including being rated one of the Top 200 Healthiest Banks in the U.S. in 2021 with an A+ Health & Stability Rating by Deposit, a subsidiary of LendingTree. Bauer Financial rated the Bank with its highest 5-Star rating, while The Commonwealth Institute named it as a “Top Women-Led Business” in the state of Florida for the 7th consecutive year.

Ms. Martin was recently appointed to the Board of Directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta’s Miami Branch, and she began her three-year term January 1, 2022, a term which will run through December 31, 2024.
